Silke Baumanns advises and represents individuals and companies in all areas of white-collar crime law. One focus of her legal practice is in the area of criminal employment law. This also includes advising companies in the criminal investigation of industrial accidents. She also accompanies criminal proceedings with an international dimension. Silke Baumanns has been working for the law firm Wessing & Partner since her admission to the bar in 2011.
She studied law in Düsseldorf and completed her legal clerkship at the Mönchengladbach Regional Court from 2007 to 2011. Furthermore Silke Baumanns was a research assistant at the Chair of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law of Prof Helmut Frister at the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf. She wrote her doctoral thesis on the topic “The Acceleration Principle in Criminal Proceedings – The Excessive Length of Proceedings and their Legal Consequences”.
